1.并列連詞的用法

1)表并列關(guān)系的連詞有：and(和，并且), both…and…(既……又……), not only…but also...(不但……而且……)neither…nor…(既不……也不……)等。

Not only the children but also the mother is ill.不但是孩子而且母親也病了。

Neither I nor he has seen the play before.我和他以前都沒有看過這部戲。

2)表轉(zhuǎn)折關(guān)系的連詞有but(但是), however(然而), yet(然而), while(然而)等。

Mary is a nice girl, but she has one shortcoming.瑪麗是個(gè)好女孩，但她有個(gè)缺點(diǎn)。

3)表選擇關(guān)系的連詞有or(或者)，or在祈使句中還有“否則”之意。either…or...(或者……或者……)等。

Either you or I am right.要么你要么我是對(duì)的。

4)表因果關(guān)系的連詞有for(因?yàn)?, so(因此)等。

He is not at school today, for he has a bad cold.他今天不在學(xué)校，因?yàn)樗�得了重感冒�?/p>

2.從屬連詞的用法

從屬連詞主要用來(lái)引導(dǎo)狀語(yǔ)從句，賓語(yǔ)從句和定語(yǔ)從句等從句。

A.在句中充當(dāng)狀語(yǔ)的從句叫做狀語(yǔ)從句，中考中狀語(yǔ)從句考查的主要類別是：

B.狀語(yǔ)從句中連詞的基本用法

(1)時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)從句：經(jīng)常用的從屬連詞有as/when(當(dāng)……的時(shí)候)，while(在……的時(shí)候)，before(在……之前)，after(在……之后)，as soon as(一……就……)，since(自……以來(lái))，until/till(直到……為止)等。有一點(diǎn)需要特別注意：在時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)從句中要求用一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)代替一般將來(lái)時(shí)。如：

I lived in this village when I was a boy.當(dāng)我還是個(gè)孩子的時(shí)候，我住在這個(gè)村莊里。

While he was eating,I asked him to lend me$2.當(dāng)他正在吃飯時(shí)，我請(qǐng)他借給我2美元。

He will come to see me as soon as he is free.他一有空就會(huì)來(lái)看我。

(2)原因狀語(yǔ)從句：原因狀語(yǔ)從句常用because(因?yàn)?，since(因?yàn)椋�既�?，as(因?yàn)?引導(dǎo)，但because與so或though與but不能在同一個(gè)句子里使用，只能任選其一。

(3)條件狀語(yǔ)從句：表示條件的狀語(yǔ)從句，常由if(假如)，unless(除非)等引導(dǎo)。在條件狀語(yǔ)從句中要求用一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)代替一般將來(lái)時(shí)。

(4)比較/方式狀語(yǔ)從句：由than(比)，the…the…(越……就越……)，as(與……一樣)等引導(dǎo)。如：

Mary sings better than anyone else in the class.瑪麗比班上任何人唱得都好。

The longer I stay with my students, the more I love them.

和學(xué)生待的時(shí)間越長(zhǎng)我就越愛他們。

(5)目的狀語(yǔ)從句：由so that/in order that(以便)等引導(dǎo)。如：

He worked very hard so that/in order that he could do well in English.

他學(xué)習(xí)非常努力以便能在英語(yǔ)方面取得好成績(jī)。

(6)結(jié)果狀語(yǔ)從句：由so/such…that(如此……以至于)等引導(dǎo)。如：

He is so lovely that everyone likes him.他是如此可愛以至于每個(gè)人都喜歡他。

Be quiet, so he can sleep.安靜，好讓他能睡覺。

(7)讓步狀語(yǔ)從句：由though/although(雖然，盡管)，even though/if(即使)引導(dǎo)。如：

Though it was raining, he went there.雖然當(dāng)時(shí)正下著雨，他還是到那里去了。

Even though/if you were here yesterday, you couldn’t help him.

即使你昨天在這兒，你也不能幫助他。

C.引導(dǎo)賓語(yǔ)從句的連詞有that，if/whether及疑問代詞或疑問副詞。

He asked me whether we could go to Beijing to watch the game by plane.

他問我是否我們可以乘飛機(jī)去北京看比賽。

D.引導(dǎo)定語(yǔ)從句的是關(guān)系代詞或關(guān)系副詞，該考點(diǎn)在定語(yǔ)從句中講解。

注意：

用了并列連詞就不能用從屬連詞。如：

because和so不能同時(shí)使用,用了although/though就不能用but。
