attention

　　1. attention是名詞,意為“注意,留心,專心”。常用于短語 pay attention to,意為“對……注意、留心”。這里的to是介詞,其后常接名詞、代詞或動名詞。attention前可用 more, close, great等來修飾,以加強語氣,表示“更加注意”。 如:

　　Please pay more attention to the problem we have to face.  請多注意我們所面臨的問題。

　　2. 在pay attention to后若無賓語,則不用 to。如:

　　Today is your last lesson in French. I beg you to pay attention.

　　今天是你們上的最后一節(jié)法語課了,懇請你們認真聽。
